Website Terms of Use
Operator: Kaiser-Backert Medical Weight Loss Clinic, Inc., doing business as MEDY Weight Loss
Effective date: September 2, 2026
Last updated: September 3, 2026
Acceptance and scope
These Terms of Use govern use of the public website operated by Kaiser-Backert Medical Weight Loss Clinic, Inc., doing business as MEDY Weight Loss (“MEDY,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using the website, a visitor agrees to these Terms and the Website Privacy Policy. A visitor who does not agree should not use the website.
These Terms govern the public website only. Separate clinical, telehealth, financial, scheduling, consent, and patient-service terms may apply when a person seeks or receives care.
Educational information—not individualized medical advice
Website content is provided for general educational and informational purposes. It is not a diagnosis, prescription, treatment recommendation, guarantee, or substitute for an individual evaluation by a qualified healthcare provider.
Visitors should not begin, stop, or change medication, supplements, diet, exercise, or treatment based solely on website information. Questions about a medical condition or treatment should be directed to an appropriate healthcare provider.
No patient-provider relationship
Viewing the website, sending a general message, clicking a scheduling link, completing a nonclinical website form, or requesting an appointment does not by itself create a patient-provider relationship. A clinical relationship begins only through MEDY’s applicable intake, consent, evaluation, and acceptance process.
The website does not guarantee that MEDY will accept any person for treatment or prescribe any medication.
Emergencies and time-sensitive concerns
The website, general email, and website contact form are not monitored as emergency services and should not be used for urgent medical concerns. Call 911 or seek appropriate emergency care for urgent or life-threatening concerns.
Current patients should use the communication method MEDY provides for clinical questions. Website messages may not be reviewed immediately.
Treatment candidacy, programs, and availability
Treatment candidacy, medication selection, risks, benefits, alternatives, monitoring, and duration depend on an individual evaluation and provider judgment.
Programs, medications, compounded preparations, injections, services, appointment availability, location availability, prices, and website descriptions may change. Website information does not promise that a treatment is appropriate, available, prescribed, dispensed, covered, or reimbursed.
Compounded drugs are not FDA approved and are not reviewed by FDA for safety, effectiveness, or quality before marketing.
Results, reviews, and testimonials
Individual experiences differ. Testimonials, surveys, before-and-after material, educational discussions, and examples reflect the experiences described by the identified source and do not establish that another patient will receive the same result.
Reviews attributed to Google, another platform, or a MEDY patient survey must be accurately sourced. MEDY does not promise that every review represents a typical outcome.
Scheduling and third-party services
Scheduling, forms, maps, communications, reviews, analytics, and other features may be provided through third-party services with their own terms and privacy practices.
An appointment request is subject to availability and confirmation. Publicly displayed scheduling availability may change without a corresponding change to general website copy.
Financial information
MEDY does not accept insurance for clinic services unless MEDY expressly states otherwise for a particular service. Some services may be eligible for payment or reimbursement through a Health Savings Account or Flexible Spending Account when used to treat a qualifying medical condition. Eligibility and documentation requirements vary by plan.
MEDY may provide an itemized receipt but does not guarantee reimbursement and does not provide a Letter of Medical Necessity or similar supporting documentation. Patients should confirm eligibility with their plan administrator.
Privacy and website tracking
Use of the website is subject to the Website Privacy Policy and available Privacy Preferences. A cookie banner or website consent choice is not a HIPAA authorization and does not authorize disclosure of protected health information.
Visitors should not submit sensitive medical information through the general website contact form.
Acceptable use
Visitors may not attempt unauthorized access to the website or connected systems; interfere with website availability, security, or operation; introduce malicious code or automated abuse; submit unlawful, fraudulent, threatening, defamatory, or harmful material; impersonate another person or misrepresent authority; scrape, reproduce, or exploit website content in violation of law or MEDY’s rights; or use the website in a manner that harms MEDY, patients, visitors, or third parties.
MEDY may restrict access when reasonably necessary to protect the website or enforce these Terms.
Intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, website content, design, branding, trademarks, photographs, and materials are owned by or licensed to MEDY. They may not be reproduced, modified, distributed, or used commercially without permission or another lawful basis.
Third-party names and marks remain the property of their respective owners. Their appearance does not imply endorsement unless expressly stated.
External links
External links are provided for convenience. MEDY does not control external services and is not responsible for their availability, content, security, terms, or privacy practices.
Website changes and availability
MEDY may update website content, programs, functionality, and these Terms. MEDY may suspend or change website access for maintenance, security, legal, or operational reasons.
Disclaimers
To the extent permitted by law, the website is provided on an “as available” basis. MEDY does not warrant that the website will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from harmful components.
This provision does not disclaim duties that cannot lawfully be disclaimed, alter MEDY’s clinical standard of care, or limit rights that applicable law does not permit MEDY to waive.
Changes to these Terms
MEDY may revise these Terms. The current effective and updated dates appear at the top. MEDY will provide notice of material changes when required by law.
